We give swing

CXN Advisory is your organization’s coxswain

In rowing, swing refers to the unique catapulting forward momentum of a boat in which all the rowers are moving in sync and with power. A boat with swing moves through the water with a drive greater than the sum of the individual rowers’ power.

As an organizational coxswain, we are singularly focused on creating swing for your team. We serve as a “coach in the boat” with your leaders — steering and coaching a team that aligns as one around strategy, execution, and accountability.

Every year, organizations invest millions in tech-driven systems that promise to spur alignment and execution. They express frustration when platform fatigue and silent resistance result in lack of engagement and adoption.

CXN starts with your leaders. We focus on building consensus and buy-in to a system of shared accountability built around metrics and measurable achievement, then layer in the tech piece.

The ultimate goal: Swing that makes the boat sing.

Offerings

Executive Coaching

We work one-on-one with organizational leaders to focus in on key pressure points for impact, effective team building tactics, and cascading purpose through the organization.

“Ready to Row” Assessments

As a starting point or an ongoing check-up, we evaluate and make recommendations based on goal-setting best practices and rubrics. Does your organization have clear strategic objectives? Do your leaders know what those goals are? Are they moving their people in the right direction?

“Set the Boat” Engagements

Our 9- to 12-month engagements build customized systems of metric-based goal-setting, alignment, accountability, and execution. After two or three quarters of “on the water” testing, we hand the system off to an internal owner.

Change Management

As an outside set of eyes and ears that is in the boat with executives and other organizational leaders, we provide insight and advice on communicating change through the organization.

Mission, Values, Purpose

Effective goal-setting depends on having clear, company-level strategic objectives that evolve from defining a clear Mission, Values, and Purpose for the organization.

“When eight row together with swing the boat becomes the ninth rower.”

– Tom Cook, U.S. Naval Academy ‘76, lightweight rower
